Under the Customs Act, certain licenses are issued by the Comptroller of Customs, acting under the powers vested in him.

The licenses are issued in a Public Notice, to ensure that the public are aware of the Conditions associates with the licenses.

The types of licence that are issued are:

• License to unload or load at a sufferance wharf
• Customs clearing Agent/Brokers license
• License for Small Craft
• License for Coasting ship
