Officers of Inland Revenue and Customs recently undertook a successful search and seizure operation taking possession of imported goods, cars, trucks and stock belonging to nine individual entities owned by a naturalized Solomon Islander.

The Solomon Islands Customs and Excise Division (SICED), under the Ministry of Finance and Treasury Department is inviting; Customs Brokers Association Members and members of the Import/ Export Community to submit expressions of interest to undertake training and certification as a licensed Customs Broker.
We are now approaching the end of the six (6) months Grace period which allows for the manufacture, distribution, supply and sell of single-use plastic which will lapse on 1st of March, 2024. On the 1st of March 2024 is when the full enforcement of the regulation will come into effect.
